ABOUT DGT-OMEGAT WIZARD
The DGT-OmegaT Wizard is the project management application developed by DGT to integrate DGT‑OmegaT in its workflow.
It is made available here as free open-source software. Two versions exist:
- Old version written using AutoIt, only for Windows: source code
Due to wrong virus alert, and also because it is not maintained anymore, this version is not available as a binary.
New version written in Java, for any platform: source code and binary
You can also download full archive : this auto-extractible (under Windows only) contains a bundle of all our tools in executable version:
- Wizard (now in Java version)
- Tagwipe and wordcmp
- DGT-OmegaT (actually 3.3-STABLE-5)
The DGT-OmegaT Wizard also includes the in-house DGT-OmegaT Guides:
- Quick Guide – It is an in-house Guide of a more recent version of DGT-OmegaT (DGT Extensions 3.1) than the one published as FOSS (DGT Extensions 3.0) as new features concerning interoperability with SDL Trados Studio are still being tested.
This Guide is also available in this website in the Documentation – User Guides section.
- Thematic Guide –It is a Guide for a previous version of DGT-OmegaT not published as free open source software. However, as it is meant for Absolute Beginners and most of the features are the same, it may be of interest for new users, although it has not been updated yet.
As both these Guides are in-house guides, there are sections/features that do not apply or are not available in the FOSS version. They may also not be the very last version.
In here we just explain what you have to do to be able to use the DGT-OmegaT Wizard without having to change anything in the source code.
Of course that, if you have the necessary IT skills, you can adapt it as you wish.
So we assume that you have read the Quick Guide to see how DGT-OmegaT differs from the standard OmegaT and how we use the DGT-OT Wizard to manage projects.
