DGT-OmegaT 3.0 update 22 published

This version makes some corrections to make SRX support closer to the standard: <beforebreak> and <afterbreak> are optional, and the same language rule name can be associated to more than one pattern.

This version also adds an experimental support for Culter Segmentation Compatible Format (CSCX). This format enables to create template for redundant rules such as long lists of abreviations. It is not a standard (it is part of another project) but it has a specification, also available in XML Schema.

To make it work, copy a CSCX document, for example our specific segmentation rules in this format, either in a project or in the configuration directory, with the name segmentation.cscx. Since this remains experimental, we do not replace the SRX in our distribution for the moment, in order not to affect those who don't feel concerned by this feature.

Actually the support is highly limited:

  • It is read-only : if you make any modification to segmentation rules, they are saved into segmentation.srx;
  • multiple files (inclusion of separate lists, inheritance) are not yet implemented
  • only CSCX (neither the YAML variant, nor the extended format CSE) is implemented
  • we do not yet have any editor for CSC or CSE format.

Next step will be to add possibility to edit lists, in particular abreviation lists, and to create a real editor for CSC format.
