Old versions (info only)

Old versions of DGT-OmegaT are not anymore available on the web site. This page is only to inform about the development process.

DGT-1

DGT-OmegaT 1 was based on OmegaT 2.6 and developped in 2012. This version has never been published in Internet, but some features have been sent to OmegaT team (for example the configurable matches pane)

DGT-2

DGT-OmegaT 2 was based on OmegaT 3.1.2; it included all features from DGT-1 and new developments from 2014 to 2017. It was used in production between 2014 (DGT-2.0) and 2017 (DGT-2.5, which was published in this web site); then in 2018 in parallel the new version 3.1 was used in test. It required Java 6 or later.

DGT-3.0

DGT-OmegaT 3 was initiated in 2017 as a merge of DGT-2 with OmegaT 3.6, plus migration to Java 8, and added new features.

In 2018, the branch was divided into 3.0 which was in the web site (starting from update 7, we added here features not available internally), and 3.1 (based on same OmegaT 3.6) with features only available internally.

Finally in end of 2018, DGT-3.1 was made publically available as new stable version, while DGT-3.0 and 3.1 were merged in an experimental branch 3.2, which was the new development version and is now in production since october 2019.

DGT-3.1

This version was made publically available only in end of 2018, but it was used in production from more than one year. It mainly added features related to interaction with Trados Studio, which could not be published immediately.

DGT-3.2

After publication of DGT-3.1 on the web site, release 3.2 was started as a merge of the version 3.0 maintained in the web site and 3.1 used internally. Initially it was used in the web site as the new DEV release. Finally it was in production from October 2019 to March 2020.

DGT-3.3

In March 2020 we had the need for putting urgently something in production due to internal reorganization. This version contained a small subset of recent developments, mainly about reduction of JAXB usage.

In September 2021 a new release 3.4 with new small subset of developments was published for the same reason.
